Becoming an Umbrella Plus employee gives you the security and benefits of being an employee, and also the flexibility of finding your own short-term assignments through recruitment agencies.
Managerial control of the company rests with us, and therefore you are not involved in any way with the obligations placed on the company in relation to taxation, the Companies Act Requirements or other regulatory red tape.
We provide our employees with a full overarching employment contract, with one contract covering multiple short-term assignments.
This forms part of the Umbrella Registration Document, which can be completed online.
PAYE
We pay our employees on a PAYE basis, thus ensuring that they benefit from the right to all normal statutory entitlements, including Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Paternity Pay, Adoption Pay and Holiday Pay.
Crest Plus Exchange Limited provides prompt payment of a salary directly into a nominated bank account. This is supported by a detailed payslip confirming pay, expenses and tax calculations.
Holiday Entitlement
The company’s holiday year is from 6 April to 5 April. In each holiday year, the employee’s company holiday entitlement will be 28 days inclusive of public holidays.
The employee must give at least one weeks’ notice of proposed holiday dates, and these must then be agreed with the company. The employee may not carry any unused company holiday entitlement forward to a subsequent year.
Legitimate Business Expenses
A wide-ranging expenses policy will ensure, as far as possible within Government guidelines, that employees are reimbursed, tax free, for all expenses associated with the delivery of their services on behalf of the company. More>>
Health and Safety at work
The company will take all reasonable, practical steps to ensure the safety of your health and welfare while at work. You must familiarise yourself with the company’s and client’s health and safety policies, the client’s risk assessment and safety and fire rules for every assignment you undertake.
