IR35 Changes | What are the options | Crest Plus

We are here to help you prepare for the IR35 reforms which are due to come into effect in April 2020.

IR35 changes are being introduced in April 2021 which mean that responsibility for status determination will switch from contractors to end hirers, with recruitment agencies facing liability for unpaid tax. It’s vital that contractors and agencies take steps to prepare for IR35 changes – we have significant experience and expertise in IR35 compliance so can help you understand the impact and work out what to do.

Agencies

Think you may need to switch limited company/PSC contractors to an alternative payment solution? We have a number of options to choose from.

Contractors

If you can no longer operate as a limited company contractor, it’s easy to switch to our Umbrella, Freelance or CIS options. Simply register below or get in touch for more information. Get in touch today or download our IR35 Guide for Contractors to find out more.

IR35 Changes – what’s happening?

Under the current rules, contractors are responsible for working out their IR35 status and paying the correct taxes. From April 2020, that responsibility will switch to end hirers (unless classified as small), with employment agencies becoming liable in the first instance for unpaid taxes.

This means it’s more important than ever for the whole supply chain to work together.

Because we provide accountancy, Umbrella, Freelance and CIS options, and have more than 30 years’ industry experience, we can help all parties to work out what is the right approach for them.
